Chinatown in Bangkok is, cliched, full of character. It’s full of little alleyways, hidden nooks with mysterious shrines and the vibrant buzz of life. I do not wish to besmirch the character of this district by saying that some spots of Chinatown are a little grungy, some spots are, some would say, grubby. There is an authentic air to some of the less gentrified parts of Chinatown. This is the Bangkok that I love, and hoped to capture in these two sketches.
